Frequently Asked Questions

Why won't my username and password let me login to the website?
Most instances of being unable to login to the website is human error. Make sure that you are using the correct username and password to login to the website and that you are entering both as all lower-case characters.

Note: Some members have experienced a "glitch" in their computer's whereby they are not able to login even after entering the correct username and password. This is a glitch in various browsers not controllable by P.E.O. International. Once they restarted their computer, their browser was reset and they were able to proceed as usual.

Why can't I login to the "State Officers Only" section or the "State Chapter Forms" section of the website?
You may experience login errors when trying to access the "State Officers Only" section or the "State Chapter Forms" section. This area is password protected for State Officers ONLY. If you are a State Officer and experiencing issues, please email us and we will contact you with the appropriate username and password.

When I click on "Members Login" I am taken to a "401 Error - Authorization Required" page without having the chance to log in.
A default security setting in the Internet Explorer 6.0 causes the browser to log in automatically as an anonymous user, resulting in login failure.

Make the following change in Internet Explorer 6.0 security settings:

  1. Open the Internet Explorer browser.
  2. Select "Tools > Internet Options..." from the menu. This will open up the Internet Options dialog.
  3. Select the "Security" tab in the Internet Options dialog.
  4. Select the "Internet" Web content zone.
  5. Click "Custom Level." This will open the Security Settings dialog.
  6. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the Security Settings dialog. Under the "User Authentication > Login" option, select the "Prompt for user name and password" option.
  7. Click "OK" to save your change and close the Security Settings dialog.
  8. Click "OK" to close the Internet Options dialog.
  9. If you're still at the "401 Error - Authentication Required" page, click the browser "Back" button.
  10. Try logging in again by clicking the "Members Login." You should now be prompted for a user name and password.

Why can't I view, download, or print PDF files?
You may need a different or new version of Adobe® Acrobat® Reader®. There are instances of different operating systems, browsers, and versions of Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® not working together. You can download a free version of Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® by clicking here. The download process will help you select the right version of Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® for you.

Note: The Local Chapter Supply Order Form and State Supply Order Form both offer online submissions. These forms are the most complicated and may take longer than other forms to download. Again, if you experience any problems reading PDF files please make sure you have the latest version downloaded before contacting P.E.O. International.

Why is Form HIJ cut off on the left and right margins when printed?
The Word version of Form HIJ, when printed, is often cut off at the right and left margins. There is a fix for this! When you go to print the form, check the "Fit To Page" option checkbox in your Print Options dialogue box (the box where you can select how many copies to print, etc). This will size down the form to be printed by the average printer.

Note: You don't have to do this with the Adobe® Reader® version as that version automatically adjusts to fit the form within the page on any printer.

Why you can't save a Fill and Print PDF document anymore.
The reason why you can't save a "Fill and Print" PDF document anymore is because Adobe isn't allowing that without additional licensing to allow that feature. You can fill in the PDF on line and print it out to a printer, but you can't save that PDF file with the filled information to your computer.

Again, while it is possible, with new restrictions from Adobe they are putting in place it now requires purchasing additional licensing from Adobe to allow that to occur. Adobe is changing their structure for allowed use of PDF's in order to generate more income for themselves.

P.E.O. International is sorry about this but it is not a programming or web site issue on our part, it is a change in the product requirements from the manufacturer.

Why can't I login to the Online Supply Department?
Most instances of being unable to login to the website is human error. Make sure that you are using the correct username and password to login to the Online Supply Department.

Each and every active member of P.E.O. has her own Login number–the P.E.O. ID number used to identify you in the P.E.O. database. How do you know your P.E.O. ID number? You can find it on the address label of your P.E.O. RECORD. Just look on the back cover and compare it to the sample shown here:

You will need to enter this P.E.O. ID number in the "Login" box. Then enter the "Password" of "123456". You will be able to change your own password or reset it if you forget it.

Why do I have to login again?
In short, this login will allow P.E.O. to know who is placing the order. The Online Supply Dept. is securely linked to the master P.E.O. membership system to access your home address information as well as information needed for billing purposes.

Why am I not seeing the website correctly?
It has come to our attention that AOL's browser is not set up to interpret P.E.O. International's website. The site is built according to current day Web standards, however AOL has confessed their browser is not currently updated to support the site. AOL's representative suggests those using AOL's interface to switch to Internet Explorer. You can download a free version of Microsoft Internet Explorer by clicking here.
